Terms of Service

Last updated: May 22, 2026 · Operated by Vanaheim SRL, Romania.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Vanaheim SRL, a Romanian limited-liability company (CUI 52324484, registered with the Trade Register under J2025060779002) operating the Thren product (“Thren,” “we,” “us”). They govern your use of our websites, the learner application, certificate programs, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, enrolling in a program, or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Thren offers self-paced certificate programs in practical AI skills, including written lessons, video segments, interactive sandboxes, quizzes, projects, and instructor feedback. We may add, change, or remove programs and features at any time. We try to give meaningful notice for material changes that affect a course you are actively enrolled in.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account. Keep your password private and notify us immediately at hello@thren.io if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without refund where the violation is material.

4. Payment, subscriptions, and refunds

Prices for programs and subscriptions are shown at checkout in EUR/USD and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Payments are processed by Stripe. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period; you can cancel from your account settings at any time before the next renewal to avoid being charged.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Because Thren is a digital service that begins immediately on payment, at checkout you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose the EU 14-day right of withdrawal under Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU (Art. 16(m)). After that consent, all sales are final, except for narrow billing-error and undelivered-service cases described in the Refund Policy. You can cancel renewal at any time from your account settings to stop future charges — cancellation keeps your access through the end of the period you have already paid for. This clause does not limit any rights you may have as a consumer that cannot be waived under mandatory EU or national law.

5. Intellectual property

All Thren content — lessons, videos, written material, code samples, sandboxes, certificate designs, brand assets, and the software that powers the platform — is owned by Vanaheim SRL or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. When you enroll, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and use the content for your own learning. This licence ends when your account ends.

You retain ownership of anything you submit (assignments, sandbox code, written answers, feedback). By submitting it you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and process your submissions for the purpose of operating the Service, providing instructor feedback, and improving the product. We will not publicly publish identifiable student work without your permission.

6. Certificates

Certificates are issued upon successful completion of a program. They certify your completion of the listed coursework; they are not academic degrees, professional licences, or accreditations recognised by any state authority. We may revoke a certificate if it was obtained by fraud or in material violation of these Terms.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, Microsoft Azure for hosting and Stripe for payments). Your use of those providers through Thren is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or losses caused by third-party services beyond our reasonable control.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except for the legal guarantees that consumers cannot waive under applicable EU law. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements, that any particular career or income outcome will result from completing a program, or that the Service will be free of errors or interruptions. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vanaheim SRL and its directors, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred euros (€100). The above does not limit any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited under mandatory law.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if continued provision becomes commercially impracticable. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of habitual residence within the European Union. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally will be brought before the competent courts of Râmnicu Vâlcea, Romania. As an EU consumer you may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify active account holders by email at least seven (7) days before it takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
